About Micky

Micky Jones, BS, CLE, CLD, CHBE is the owner of 9 Months & Beyond, LLC in Spring Hill, Tennessee. Her career began when she graduated with honors from MTSU with a degree in Consumer and Family Sciences with emphasis in Child Development and Family Studies. She is a La Leche League Leader, trained childbirth educator, postpartum doula, Certified Lactation Educator, Certified Labor Doula, Certified Happiest Baby Educator and perhaps most qualifying, the mother of 3 young children. It was the beautiful, satisfying natural birth of her first child that led to her passion for helping pregnant, birthing and breastfeeding families.

She has taught private childbirth classes, breastfeeding classes and Happiest Baby classes. She has served as a labor and postpartum doula for many middle Tennessee area families. She has supported women in homebirths, birth centers and hospital births. Micky has supported teen moms, single moms, 40 year old and over moms and everything in between – even adoptive moms. Her breastfeeding clients have ranged from full-time pumping moms to breastfeeding with implants or reductions to breastfeeding preemies and breastfeeding several years.

Our company has included breastpump rental and sales, birth tub rentals, blessingway services, lactation consultation and referral to many area midwives, doulas and other care providers. We have also been involved with outreach events including giving information, samples and creating awareness for birth, breastfeeding and parenting support and options at area health fairs such as The Incredible Baby Shower, All About Women and the Southern Women’s Show.

Micky enjoys speaking to medical professionals, allied health professionals, mothers’ groups and facilitating group discussions. She is passionate about breastfeeding as a public health issue for all communities but especially for her own African-American community.

Micky and her husband, KC, live in Spring Hill, Tennessee with their three beautiful, crazy, brilliant children. All three children were born without pain medication, the last two born in water, at home with a midwife. Besides being the fearless leader of this crew, Micky teaches Hypnobabies Childbirth classes, accepts doula clients and works with breastfeeding mothers.
